ARSLAN GROUP
A new interior layout was proposed for the Arslan Group, based in the Netherlands, within a warehouse adjoining a two-storey operational facility located in the northwestern commercial zone of Rotterdam. The program combines day-to-day operations with a showroom component.
The spatial organization is structured around product display units, mock-up areas for on-site application testing, and archive sections providing access to current material catalogs. At its core, the project introduces a shared social area that encourages informal encounters among users. Supplementary functions such as a café, meeting rooms, and a children’s playroom further expand the flexibility of the space, allowing for a hybrid use between professional and visitor-oriented activities.
Neutral tones and natural materials were selected to avoid drawing focus away from the displayed products. A transparent and open plan supports intuitive navigation and encourages fluid circulation throughout. The interior is envisioned as a space where users can spend an entire working day with ease—completing tasks, hosting meetings, and interacting with the environment without fatigue.
The existing structure was largely preserved, with new interventions developed in response to the opportunities offered by the original building.
